physical characteristic of a circle

Everyone
at a point on circumference
Ø
All
equally from center
Ø
As
points move to middle, get closer to each other
SPIRITUALITY OF A
CIRCLE +++++++++++++++++++++
Ø
God
is at center
Ø
God’s
grace is equally available to all
Ø
Key
insight: as drawn by grace & each moves closer, each also move closer to
each other
MOVING TO THE CENTER
++++++++++++++++++++++
Ø
Gospel
speaks of how the movement to the center takes place
Ø
“Whoever loves me, WORD, F will
love”
Ø
“And
we’ll come, make dwelling w/ him”
Ø
“I’ve
told U this while w/ U, Advocate will teach U all things
Ø
Notice
Moving: Word, Relationship, Empowerment
CONCLUSION ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ø
As
we await empowerment of Pentecost, keep in mind what’s in store for us
Ø
Moving
to the center, we’re not only closer w/ those on circumference …
Ø
But
those w/ whom we’re at odds (top/bottom of circle)
Ø
As
we experience Word, Relationship & Empowerment we may be surprised that the
moving inward is making us more compassionate, understanding, and forgiving…
Ø
And
setting the stage for a union/reconciliation that is inevitable
Ø
All
of this is possible because of God’s initiative of giving us his Word, drawing
us into relationship, and empower us where our own efforts are feeble or
non-existent
Ø
Good
news indeed!
