The Ideal ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Ø  What parents wouldn’t want children who do chores & share responsibilities not 2B rewarded, but 4 good of family?

Ø  Same true of organization or an institution like SLI

Ø  The same could be said of Christians

Ø  Luke reminds us we don’t live XTN life 2B rewarded

Ø  We live XTN life in imitation of J & it’s his ex that fuels R choices in this regard

THE ACTUAL ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Ø  It’s common in R society 2 fall into sense of feeling we’ve a right 2 goods, natural resources, & ed

Ø  So many on planet can only dream abt such riches

Ø  When we feel we have rt 2 things, we lose a sense of gratitude & stop recognizing all we have=gift fr G

Ø  Attitude,  if we work hard enuf, anything can B Rs by rt, leads 2 sense of entitlement

Ø  “I earned it; I made it; I received it – it’s mine!”

THE ACTUAL INTO OUR SPIRITUAL LIFE ++++++++++++

Ø  Can bring this attitude 2 R spiritual life

Ø  If I say Office, prayers, novena, rosary, fast, obey rule, G must reward me

Ø  Gospel turns this attitude upside down

Ø  J reminds us that we’re always servants; all comes as a gift

Ø  We’re called 2 live in spirit of gratitude becz all=gift

Ø  Even R ability 2 work & serve others = G’s gift

CONCLUSION +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Ø  Wisdom reminds us that becz made in divine image, called 2 act acc to that image

Ø  J as R model teaches us & gives us the ex of loving servant

Ø  R motives=always mixed. Never pure love ~ J

Ø  However, as long as loving service=chief motive, ready 4 time of Ct’s coming when B found worthy & Lord will take us 2 himself
