JOURNEYING: JEREMIAH & US +++++++++++++++++++
Ø  The journey is probably the most frequently used image in any kind of literature for our effort to understand life and to find one’s purpose
Ø  Like Jeremiah we may believe that, while known before we were formed in R mother’s womb,
Ø  While we were dedicated and appointed before we were born,
Ø  The journey of maturing isn’t an easy one
Ø  This may be true of those who have had more than their fair share of challenges growing up,
Ø  True of those who may not have had the resources or situations for optimal growth and development
THE SEED SOWN IN US +++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ø  We ourselves may believe that the answer 2 many of R questions about the journey R 2B found in teachings of J and in the seed he sown in R heart
Ø  But we need patience with ourselves whose faith in the Word is not so sure or is underdeveloped
Ø  We need to give ourselves space to move, even to make mistakes, and the patience and love of our family and friends
PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS ++++++++++++++++++++++
Ø  Those who have been on the journey of life longer and are reaching some certainties about how to live may need to restrain themselves from giving it all to those who are not as far along in the journey
Ø  Just because we know – or think we know – how life should be lived doesn’t mean it’s always helpful to pour it all into ears and hearts not ready for it
Ø  All may B going in same direction on the journey, but there R many different ways of traveling
CONCLUSION +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ø  Our patience and gentleness with those travelling different ways may be the most effective assistance we can offer them
Ø  Wherever we are on the journey, the words to Jeremiah are words to us, “Have no fear…I am with you to deliver you.”
